Earlier this year Sean Finn was honoured for the third successive year at the All-Star awards as he added to his quickly bourgeoning trophy cabinet.
The Limerick corner back is the best in the game and has won all before him in his four years with the senior set up.
All-Ireland honours were secured in December as Limerick completed the perfect season with 13 wins from as many games.
Despite this, Finn makes it clear that his side are ready to get back to the grind after low key celebrations amidst the current climate.
“You hardly even heard or spoke about the All-Ireland final three weeks later because you weren’t meeting anyone, only your family.
“They were sick of talking about it. In one sense it was good because it doesn’t even feel like you had won it, so you were coming in this year now and you are kind of fresh.
“In 2018 there was three or four months of kind of going to schools, going to clubs, going to different occasions with the cup, or even just going as a guest.
“That can be tiring as well. That can take its toll on players as well when they are being pulled and dragged. There was none of that this year.
“I was lucky now, in the last two weeks, one night I got the cup down to my house. So we had a nice night there with the three or four cups and my family. So that was nice.
“That was a real highlight and one that was really low-key in comparison to 2018.
Speaking ahead of Saturday’s National League opener with Tipperary, Finn discussed the abundance of options in the full-back line, taking a break earlier this year, the new sin-bin rule and more.
