WATCH – Gaelic Grounds to host exciting National Geographic event

Limerick GAA in conjunction with National Geographic have announced that the Gaelic Grounds will host it’s first concert as “Symphony for our World” comes to town.

This unprecedented event pairs National Geographic’s natural history footage with an original symphony, performed live by a full 80 piece orchestra and choir.

Footage will be shown on high definition screens over a 2 hour show as part of National Geographic`s World Tour Symphony for our World.

The event at the Gaelic Grounds will be the first performance in Europe.

Speaking at the official announcement Paul Foley Chairperson of Limerick Gaelic Grounds said:

“For Limerick Gaelic Grounds to host a European Premier event of this calibre is groundbreaking and I would like to thank promoters CWB, Limerick Council and the board of Limerick GAA for the collaboration. This is a huge step forward for the Gaelic Grounds and with the improvement to facilities at the stadium earlier this year, reflects a renewed ambition.”

Tickets are available through www.ticketmaster.ie from Friday 6th July.
