WATCH: Highlights of Effin’s IHC final win over Croagh Kilfinny

Effin were crowned Limerick Intermediate Champion with victory over Croagh Kilfinny in Newcastle West.

Effin’s four year stint in the Intermediate championship was ended on Saturday as the South men earned promotion back to the premier grade.

Against last year’s Junior A champions, Effin were worthy 0-22 to 0-15 winners, keeping their opponents at arms length throughout.

Croagh Kilfinny did open the scoring but Effin found the lead for the first time after seven minutes and didn’t relent from here.

Their lead was seven at the break and they maintained that advantage to the finish to recapture the title they last won in 2011.

Teenage sensation Patrick O’Donovan continued his blistering form with 0-11 on the day to make it 2-20 scored in his past two games.
