WATCH: Hurley: “I’ll get the best out of Treaty & Treaty will get the best out of me”

Craig Hurley will be one of the youngest managers and coaches in the Airtricity League next season as he leads Treaty United U-17’s Girls side into their league campaign. At 27 years old, Hurley was appointed as manager in mid January and was delighted to take the opportunity to replace Irene Hehir.

“I was delighted when I got the call to say I was coming in. I felt it was the next step for me on my coaching pathway also. I was very happy to get the opportunity and I think that I will get the best our of Treaty and Treaty will get the best out of me.”

The start of the U-17 season is still in limbo with no clarity on when the teams can train. It has been rumoured that the underage leagues will not begin until May. However, Hurley has began to assemble his squad early with 18 players already signed and more to come in the coming weeks.
