After much underage promise, Bill Johnston has had to bide his time with Munster after suffering a number of injuries in the past couple of seasons.
The out-half has remained positive in the face of adversity and is reflected in his everyday approach, which has been influenced by his brother David, who plays with Ealing Trailfinders in England.
“I made myself a slave towards my goals. Anything I think that will help me get there I’m prepared to do. He (his brother) really helped in that.”
The 22-year-old is hopeful of more experience with van Graan’s side but is happy to be working with the likes of Joey Carbery who showed his class for Ireland in their defeat of Scotland in the Six Nations.
He is enjoying his rugby at Munster and describes the feeling as a dream come true.
“It’s what I’ve aspired to do since a very young age… I really love this game and I love being around this group of players.”
