In difficult conditions in Mick Neville Park last night, the Limerick U20 footballers fell to Kerry 0-14 to 0-7 in the Munster Semi-Final.
Limerick had overcome Tipperary in the quarter-finals a week ago but lost out to a Kerry side containing a number of All-Ireland winning minors.
However, the performance on the night suggests the future is bright in the county with the senior footballers on a seven game winning run in 2020.
When the sides met at the same stage last year, Limerick lost out 0-18 to 1-3 in Tralee with clear progress for Jerry O’Sullivan’s side.
Speaking after the game, O’Sullivan was proud of his players who gave it all on the night.
“I’m bitterly disappointed…. but I couldn’t be more proud of those guys to be fair”
