Jim spoke about how important a competition the Munster Senior Hurling League is and the role it played in Limerick’s success in 2018.

“We started that campaign on the 30th December back in Mallow and it was Cork versus Limerick, a cracker of a game. There was many players on the Limerick team that particular night who people believed may or not be there for the Championship.

“Limerick won the game and some of those players were not displaced as it came right through both the Division 1B League and the Championship. They cite often that their foundation for success was set in the Co-op Superstores Munster Senior League of 2018.
