WATCH: Johann van Graan on Munster’s win over Leinster

Munster earned their first victory over bitter rivals Leinster at Thomond Park in the Johann van Graan era with Keith Earls’ intercept try helping the province to a 26-17 winning margin.

Van Graan spoke to Sporting Limerick at the High Performance Centre in the University of Limerick this morning and admitted that he was glad to get the win.

“I’m very happy with the win. We knew that it was going to be a really tough game against the Pro14 and European champions and it was. It was a dogfight. Both teams really wanted to win and I’m really glad that we got out with a really positive result.”

Van Graan also said that Chris Cloete was due to have a scan today on the neck injury he picked up in the win against Leinster.

The South African also revealed that Chris Farrell, Rhys Marshall and Liam O’Connor could have all returned to the training ahead of Munster’s Interpro with Connacht this weekend.
