Munster head coach Johann van Graan says that pre-season has gone well so far and that he is looking forward to the season ahead.
The South African welcomed new senior coach Stephen Larkham to the province last week and forwards coach Graham Rowntree arrives when Georgia’s interest in the Rugby World Cup ends.
Van Graan added that he has been happy with the Academy players that have played a huge part in the lead up to the new season, as well as new scrum half Nick McCarthy.
“It was very good to have all the Academy lads in from the start. We have had a very young squad out which was great to work with.
“Great to have Nick in. His excitement and work ethic is brilliant. He came in on the first day and ran the best all time 1km. He just wants to get settled in and fight for the number nine jersey.
“Great to have continuity with the crew, but we have added a lot to what we want to to. It’s another season and as time goes you want to evolve your game.”
