WATCH: Johann van Graan provides O’Mahony injury update and talks Gloucester win

Johann van Graan says that Peter O’Mahony will be given every chance to play against Exeter Chiefs in the vital Champions Cup game at Thomond Park on Saturday.

Munster are awaiting scan results on the rib injury that forced O’Mahony off in the early stages of the second half in their 41-15 win against Gloucester last Friday.

“He has had some treatment over the weekend. With a bang to the ribs you do have a lot of pain. It’s not something that just goes away.

“We will give him every opportunity to recover up to Saturday. Unfortunately, if you are a forward it’s not something that you can hide.

“Had a chat to him this morning. He is very open minded about it. He would love to play in this game but first and foremost it’s Pete’s health that is most important.”
