Limerick travel to Thurles this Sunday looking to cement a place in the Munster final for the first time since 2014.
While a Limerick win wouldn’t guarantee their spot in the final, it would go a long way in securing it with Cork having a worse scoring record than the Treaty thus far.
However, manager John Kiely is unconcerned about the prospect with his side fully focused on Sunday’s game and nothing else.
“I don’t think about it to be honest. All I’m looking at now is this phase of the current competition we’re in which is game four of four in the round robin.
There are nine permutations that could arise on Sunday so if you were to think of those then you can take your eye of the ball.”
Much has been made of the Tipperary forward unit this Summer with their movement and accuracy accounting for three wins from three.
Yet, Kiely says every forward line has their merits insisting it takes a team effort to counteract any forward division.
“Every county has marquee forwards that are capable of taking scores if given the opportunity.
Clearly, Tipperary forwards have been moving well in their games to date, so that’s the challenge for us as a unit to defend as best we van on Sunday and limit that.”
