WATCH: John Kiely speaks about motivation heading to Waterford and injury concerns

This Sunday will provide the Limerick hurlers with the perfect opportunity to rectify the wrongs of their loss to Cork a fortnight ago.

After a seven point loss to the Rebels, Limerick now face Waterford this weekend needing a result.

For John Kiely, motivation has been no issue for the side since the Cork loss.

“To be fair it wasn’t difficult to refocus the minds. The players were very disappointed with the performance the last day.

All we can do is try to rectify that this Sunday.”

Speaking at a press conference on Tuesday night, Kiely gave an insight into the availability of squad players with Tom Condon returning to the side, David Dempsey out of the game and Seamus Flanagan still a doubt.

“Tom Condon has returned to training which is a big plus for us.

David Dempsey picked up a knock to his hand last week which will exclude him from this game.

Seamus Flanagan is doing well but we are not sure will he be in contention for this weekend, will probably be the next week.”
