The Limerick senior hurling boss has commended his side for the character shown in the draw with Cork but says that some of the confidence shown at Páirc Uí Chaoimh had his heart racing.
“A bit more confidence in that particular manoeuvre than I would have had. My heart was beginning to jump a thousand beats a second at that stage because it was a high risk move but it came off and came off extremely well. It probably is reflective of the confidence of the lads at the moment.” Kiely speaking about Diarmaid Byrnes cross field ball to Dan Morrissey in the second half against Cork.
