WATCH: John McGrath says his side ‘need to be at their best’ to overcome Gerald Griffins

This Sunday Galtee Gaels will look to make it two promotions in three years as they face Gerald Griffins in the Intermediate football decider.

Manager John McGrath is aware of the challenge that lays ahead after falling to a defeat against the same opponents in the group stages of the championship.

“We’re under no illusions, we are up against the best team in Intermediate this year in Gerald Griffins.”

Highlighting that earlier meeting, McGrath is confident that his side will have learned enough to avenge that result and come away with the title this Sunday.

“We were 10/15% behind them the last two times we met them. I’m just depending on our lads to bring that 10/15% on Sunday and if I’m honest I think they will.”

“If we are to beat Gerald Griffins, we will have to be at our very best and that’s just the bottom line.”
