WATCH: John Ryan on European disappointment and making home advantage count against the Kings

Munster prop John Ryan is keen to get back onto the pitch after some time off following the province’s exit from this season’s Champions Cup.

Ryan admits that the disappointment in not reaching the European quarter finals will be used in the right way for the rest of their Pro14 campaign, but will not be their only motivation going forward.

“It was hugely disappointing for us and kind of narrows our focus into the league as we are a team that wants to be in European knockout stages every year.

“It just didn’t happen for us. We left a few points behind against Racing at home and probably the Saracens away game as well.

“That’s the way it is and we now just have the advantage of having the opportunity of focusing on the league.”

Ryan also spoke about making home advantage count against the Southern Kings at Musgrave Park in the Pro14 on Friday. Click below to see the full video.
