WATCH: Keith Earls on physical Edinburgh win and making your own luck

Munster winger Keith Earls was the province’s hero with two tries in their Champions Cup quarter final win over Edinburgh last weekend.

The game against the Scottish was a physically brutal encounter and one that Earls says is one of the toughest that he has been involved in.

“Personally, it was the toughest game all season physicality wise. They put a lot of pressure on teams and force turnovers, but in terms of ourselves, we adapted well.

“Losing Mike Haley before the game, losing Joey half way through, Tyler coming on and having an important influence as well. It was a great win for the whole squad, but there is plenty to improve on.

“We shot ourselves in the foot a bit as well with discipline. We got a bit of luck. With that reversed penalty it could have been a lot different.

“You create your own luck too and playing in big games and big tournaments you need that bit of luck to get through to the next round.”
