WATCH: Kelly talks wonder goal against Bray and Limerick FC season so far

Limerick captain Shaun Kelly’s stunning strike saw the Super Blues to victory against Bray Wanderers and into fourth place in the SSE Airtricity League Premier Division on Friday.

Kelly’s goal six minutes from time proved crucial for Tommy Barrett’s side in their bid to return to the Premier Division at the first time of asking.

Limerick are unbeaten at home and with just two goals conceded this term, Markets Field has become a fortress.

“It’s obviously nice to get a goal but I think the performance was the main thing,” said Kelly after the victory.

“Getting the three points was the biggest thing. It’s another three points at home. Our home form has been pretty good, especially after the Wexford game.

“We were disappointed the last day but you know that you have days when you are going to draw.

“Last week we played well against Longford and knew that we should have come away with something but thankfully tonight the strike went in towards the end. That’s sometimes the luck that you need.”
