This Sunday Limerick will be desperate to put their recent performance against Cork behind them as they face Waterford in Walsh Park.
Since that seven point defeat, manager John Kiely says training has ramped up in intensity as the players are keen to get their season back on track before it is too late.
“The work over the past two weeks has been very competitive. If it wasn’t, there would be something radically wrong.
The guys who weren’t playing the last day obviously want to put their hand forward in terms of selection.
Since the last day, things have really racheted up.”
Limerick will be away on Sunday with none of the players having played in Walsh Park before.
However, Kiely doesn’t feel that the new venue will be an issue for his players with very few of the side having played in Croke Park before last years historic run to the final.
“Sometimes a new venue is something that you can take motivation from. It’s fresh, novel and new”
