WATCH: Kiely pleased with comfortable Galway victory

Limerick ran out comfortable 1-19 to 0-14 winners over Galway in the Gaelic Grounds yesterday to maintain their 100% start to the National Hurling League.

After a sluggish opening half against Tipperary in the first game, Limerick were at it for the full 70-minutes yesterday as they proved too strong for Shane O’Neill’s Tribesmen.

After the game, Limerick Manager John Kiely praised both sides for what he found a quality game of hurling in February.

“Yeah I thought it was a really good game. Both sides really went at it. Both teams are fairly physical so when both get together it can be fairly abrasive. I thought the standard was really high from both teams. We moved the ball well, contested the ball well and were efficient with the ball. Just a really good game for us.”
