WATCH: Late Try & Healy Conversion as Munster Beat Edinburgh

It was a case of the end justifying the means once again as Munster dug deep to earn another hard fought late win against a top conference rival.

This time it was Edinburgh that fell victim to the Ben Healy late show. The Nenagh Ormond player landed a late conversion on top six penalties to seal the win and put Munster on two wins from two.

Following an earlier miss – his first of the evening – Healy composed himself to slot the conversion of CJ Stander’s try.

It took 78 minutes for Munster to finally cross but in truth their performance over the 80 minutes probably just did enough to warrant the win.

The visitors enjoyed a strong first half with Mark Bennett and WP Nel both crossing but they couldn’t prevent a fifth successive defeat in all competitions.

Munster’s sole try scorer, CJ Stander credited their resilience in his post match interview.
