WATCH: Limerick camogie side earn second championship win

Declan Nash’s senior camogie side made it two wins from two in the championship by dispatching Wexford on a 1-18 to 1-10 victory in Croagh.

Heading into the game as strong favourites but met a determined Wexford side that had suffered heavy defeats in their previous games.

The sides were level at the break (1-6 to 0-9) with a youthful Wexford side’s goal coming from a Linda Bolger long range free.

Limerick recovered with Niamh Mulcahy very much to the fore. The Ahane sharpshooter hit 0-14 in all.

Nash’s charges put in a much better performance in the second half and once Caoimhe Costelloe buried their goal the result was never in doubt.

An eight-point victory was justified in the end but Limerick will need to put in a much better performance in their next game on Saturday.

However, a quarter final spot is almost assured so 2019 is already a success compared to last season.

Nash gave his thoughts on the performance and the fixture against Galway in a post match interview with Sporting Limerick. View the video below.
