WATCH: Mungret beat Gerald Griffins to Claim 1990 Junior Title

Whenever the Limerick Football Champions resume, assuming they do return this year, Gerald Griffins and Mungret St Pauls will be two of the favourites to earn promotion to the top tier.

However, back in 1990, the two sides met in the Junior Football Final in Askeaton to see who would make it to the Intermediate Grade.

Mungret beat west champions Knockfierna in the semi final while Gerald Griffins who were west runners up beat Bruree. However it would be Mungret’s day as the ran out winners.

Played on December 16th 1990 in Askeaton
