WATCH: Munster ‘A’ score magnificent team trys in defeat of Ulster ‘A’

THIS would get you excited.

A young Munster ‘A’ team took on Ulster ‘A’ at Donnybrook on Saturday and ran out as 29-22 winners with a free-flowing attacking performance. Talent backs like Jack Crowley, Jake Flnnaery and Limerick’s Conor Phillips excelled throughout as Munster played with a creativity and conviction that proved too hot to handle for their inter-provincial rivals.

Munster started slowly and were punished with yellow cards to Liam Coombes and Sean French for deliberate knock-ons. Ulster soon made the men in red pay with a Conor Rankin try in the corner, converted by Bill Johnston.

Once Munster returned to their full complement however the game changed. The young ‘A’ team attacked with flair and it wasn’t long before the tries followed. In the end Cian Hurley, Jake Flannery, Jack Crowley and Alex Kendellen all got on the scoresheet and Munster at one stage led 26-10.

Ulster only replied in the closing fifteen minutes as Munster were again reduced to thirteen players. Munster lost Jeremy Loughman to a yellow card and with another man off injured with no replacement remaining, the Ulster men capitalized with two late tries to put some respect on the scoreboard.

The game finished Munster 29-22 Ulster.
