WATCH: Munster Defence Coach JP Ferreira comments on “Unbelievable” Irish support

Its back to business for Munster this weekend as they travel to Italy where they will face Zebre on Sunday.

Munster are in relatively good form heading into the game coming off the back of an important win away to the Cheetahs last time out.

Ahead of this weekend’s clash, Defence Coach JP Ferreira spoke about the importance of the Italian clash with Munster facing into a ten-week block of games and is taking nothing for granted.

“Obviously Zebre is the next level, the start of a ten-week block. We’ve obviously got to focus on what we want to achieve in this ten-weekblock.”

“They’re a quality side. They’ve had a good run at home. Its going to be tough away, the Italian crowd.”

A little over a year into his tenure as Defence Coach for the province, Ferreira described his time in Munster so far as ‘brilliant’.

With so much positivity surrounding Irish Rugby in the wake of the national sides unrivalled success in 2018, Ferreira says he has been blown away by the support.

“Its so much different to South Africa in the sense of the people around you. The support is unbelievable. You see it In South Africa at the moment, it’s fading away but over here it’s so unbelievable, how the supporters support you from when you lose a match to when you win a match, they stay the same.”

“That gives the lads such a big go to on gameday.”
