WATCH – Munster out half Ian Keatley on lessons that were taken from 2014 semi-final loss to Toulon

Ian Keatley talks about how key moments in big games can make all the difference. The out half was part of the side that lost out to the French giants 24-16 at the Stade Velodrome. A game that saw Toulon captain Jonny Wilkinson kick 21 points for the defending champions.

Keatley remembers some of his own missed opportunities to land points from the boot that could have had an impact on the outcome.

“There was a few key moments in that game. I remember I had a kick from the half way to take the lead. If you get ahead of a French team they have to start to push the game a little bit. That’s going to be key for us at the weekend – to start really well and put them under pressure.”
