WATCH: Munster squad put their CPR skills to the test

Munster players and staff recently attended a CPR training course in Thomond Park.

This year, Munster are working closely with the Irish Heart Foundation charity to help raise awareness about CPR in memory of the late Anthony Foley.

Foley’s wife, Olive, along with their two son’s Tony and Dan were joined by a number of Munster players and staff in Thomond Park to take part in lifesaving CPR training.

By raising awareness about the work that the Irish Heart Foundation does, it’s hoped that more lives can be saved from sudden cardiac arrest.

Both Munster Rugby and the charity have joined forces to help more people prevent sudden cardiac arrest deaths, which claims 5000 people every year in Ireland.

As part of ongoing initiatives for the season Irish Heart will be at the centre of Munster’s designated “Charity Match” against Leinster on December 26th in Thomond Park, with one euro from each match programme sold donated to the charity.
