Limerick defender Barry Nash feels that the All-Ireland semi-final clash with Galway will be a massive battle and will go down to the wire.
Galway came out on top when the sides met at the TUS Gaelic Grounds but Limerick have had recent wins over the Tribesmen in the All-Ireland semi-final in 2020 and in the decider back in 2018.
They’re obviously a great team with lots of great players and we have had some tremendous battles with them throughout the years.
Looking forward to a tough battle with them. Looking back at the most recent game, they beat us in the Gaelic Grounds and that showed how good of a team they are.
We have had some great battles with them over the last number of years and hopefully this will be another one. Every game that we play against them has always gone down to the wire and I’m sure this will be no different.
Nash added that Limerick have been building with every game during the 2022 season. John Kiely’s side had a difficult league but went through Munster unbeaten and came through unscathed in the provincial decider against Clare.
We have been building since the league. I know our league campaign wasn’t great but we have kind of built from there. I think that with each game we have improved and hopefully we can continue to improve.
It (Munster Final) was brilliant for everyone involved in the game. It was a fantastic game of hurling. Tough, massive intensity, just a great game to be involved in. Great in helping us prepare for Sunday.
