In the Gaeic Grounds yesterday, Newcastle West made it a second Limerick Senior Football title this decade when they defeated Oola 1-11 to 0-8.
Newcastle started the brightest and dominated from start to finish, restricting Oola to just one score from play.
Newcastle held a 0-6 to 0-0 lead after fifteen minutes and had strecthed it out to seven by the half-time whistle.
An Iain Corbett penalty ten minutes into the second half ended the game as a contest as Newcastle secured a place in the Munster championship’s where they will face Nemo Rangers of Cork.
