WATCH: Niall Scannell on facing Zebo and Racing’s athletes

Munster Hooker Niall Scannell will look to help his teammates get one over on old foe Racing 92 this weekend when the pair clash at Thomond Park on Saturday in the Champions Cup.

Among the talking points this week were Scannell’s former Munster teammate Simon Zebo, who will be wearing the light blue Parsian Club jersey this time around, rather than the red of Munster.

“I’d consider Zeebs a buddy, obviously he won’t be this week but that’s just the way it is, unfortunately.

Scannell is particularly looking forward to the challenge the Top 14 side’s forward pack present, having been “ran around the park two years ago in Bordeaux” he admits.

“Sometimes that gets overlooked with Racing, they are top quality athletes across their pack and maybe in the French League they don’t get enough credit for that.”
