WATCH: Niall Scannell on the Edinburgh win, his own form and the rest of the season

On Saturday Munster booked their place in the last four of the Champions Cup for the third successive season with a defiant 18-13 victory over Edinburgh.

After a recent return from injury, Niall Scannell spoke about the performance of the side in difficult conditions where Munster had to work extremely hard to come away with the victory.

Despite limited chances, two Keith Earls tries drove Munster to the win.

“I still think we were clinical when we got into their 22, even though they starved us of opportunities when we were in there.”

It was a good performance from the returning Scannell who will be keen to impress with the World Cup on the horizon.

With potential for two trophies for Munster, Scannell isn’t resting on his laurels and says there are far bigger challenges ahead for the team.

“We did okay at the set piece on Saturday but there’s always areas to improve on and when you see whats coming in down the track for us for the rest of the season there wont be any rest.”
