WATCH: Old Crescent earn bragging rights with win over UL Bohs

A blistering second half performance saw Old Crescent earn an impressive 31-10 win over UL Bohs in AIL Division 2A.

Bohs were 10-3 up at half time but four second half tries saw Crescent home to the victory.

Brian Walsh gave Bohs a fantastic start with a 14th minute try that Michael Mullally converted.

Ronan McKenna replied from the kicking tee but Mullally responded for Bohs to give them a seven point half time advantage.

But it was all Crescent in the second half. A glorious Val McDermott solo effort that McKenna converted levelled the game and a penalty try then put Crescent in firm control.

McKenna then went in for his own try that he also converted, before Brian Tuohy sealed the win late on. McKenna again added the extras to give Crescent a 21 point winning margin.

A Peadar Collins penalty put Garrowen back in front but a converted UCC score saw them take control again on a 20-15 scoreline.

Sean Rennison’s try and a Collins conversion looked to have grabbed a victory for Conan Doyle’s side but Taylor had other ideas and his penalty saw UCC home.
