WATCH: Oola manager Kem Downey speaks ahead of this weekends county final

This Sunday Oola take on Newcastle West in the 2019 Limerick SFC Final.

For Oola, this will be the club’s first final since 1979, with their last victory coming back in 1940.

Oola will be heavy underdogs for the game but have already overcome Newcastle in the group stages of the championship.

For manager Kem Downey, the importance of the club reaching the final has not gone unnoticed.

“Its massive. You saw the scenes in the Gaelic Grounds when we got to the final. Fellas hugged me in the pub that id never seen before! To see older statesmen crying not having won it in forty years, it’s fantastic. It’s a small village in the East and everything is built around the club.”
