Donovan was in action on Sky Sports on Saturday evening in Glasgow.
Limerick-based boxer Paddy Donovan has moved to 8-0 in the professional ranks after another stunning performance on Saturday evening.
The ‘Real Deal’ outboxed Miroslav Serban in Glasgow as his opponent was forced to retire in the 6th round.
Fighting on the Jack Catteral and Josh Taylor undercard, the Andy Lee trained boxer rarely looked troubled, dominating the contest.
Donovan made his pro debut in 2019 and has maintained a perfect record since with six stoppages in that time.
Reflecting on the dominant nature of his performance, Donovan said he is moving up the ladder, praising the influence of his father and Andy Lee in their preparation for the Czech opponent.
“It was a great performance. I’m moving up the ladder. The challenges are getting tougher. He had 14 fights and nine stoppages so he came to win. He is a tight and compact fighter. it took a lot of shots to break him down but we executed the gameplan that Andy Lee and my father set out perfectly.”
Donovan was clearly pleased with his display on the night, as was his coach Lee who offered huge praise.
“Andy said it was one of the best performances he has seen live, nearly punch perfect.”
And the young fighter isn’t resting on his laurels as he looks to add gold to his burgeoning collection.
