The last time Pa Mullins took to the pitch for an FAI Junior Cup final with Pike Rovers was to end in heartbreak as Sherriff YC ran out 1-0 winners in the 2015/16 decider.
The experienced defender who earned a winners medal with the club in 2011, prepares to for another appearance in the junior soccer showpiece this Saturday against North End United of Wexford.
He sat down with opposing captain Paul Murphy ahead of the game.
“The feeling in the tunnel in the Aviva is a bit surreal. You feel like you’re really in a big competition. You come out and you see so many supporters, especially kids.. and they’re shouting for you and shouting your name, it’s like their world cup.”
