Limerick are still alive in the Munster Senior Hurling Championship following a sensational 1-28 to 0-13 win over Clare at LIT Gaelic Grounds.
Kiely’s men ran riot over a Clare side that now need a miracle result against Cork, and hope Limerick beat Tipperary next weekend to have any hope of advancing to the All-Ireland series.
For Limerick, however, they are almost guaranteed to keep their season going following the 18-point win over their near neighbours.
Kiely was a happy man after the game and paid tribute to the work put in by his charges.
Sean Finn also spoke to the media (twice) in the aftermath of the comprehensive victory.

Finn put in a man of the match display from the full back line. He stopped a couple of certain goals, and also gave an exhibition of tight marking.
The Bruff man said that his side will not be treating next week’s game with Tipperary as a Munster semi final, adding that it’s only just two points on offer.
