WATCH: Rory Scannell “It’s been great to be playing regularly”

Rory Scannell and Sammy Arnold have firmly established themselves as Munster’s first choice centre pairing for the second half of the season after a number of injury setbacks to others. Scannell found himself on the shelf early on in the season before finding full fitness in recent times.

Munster have been ravaged by injury this season with Jaco Taute yet to feature for Munster this year, while Chris Farrell saw his season ended during the Six Nations after picking up a knee injury. However, Scannell is happy that he is finally getting some consistent minutes under his belt.

It’s been great to be playing regularly week in week out. That’s always the aim to get better every week, probabaly a bit harder when you’re chopping and changing to get a run of form.”

“(On his centre-partnership with Sammy Arnold) As a parternship, we’ve both improved massively and hopefully we will both get a run at the weekend.”

“We would have probbaly liked more rest games throughout the year than myself and Sammy have had, but thats just the way it is. There’s been a lot of injuries and that just means we have to step up to the plate.”
