WATCH: Seanie Tobin looking forward to renewing rivalry with Garryspillane

In a repeat of the 2017 Premier Intermediate final, Murroe Boher take on Garryspillane in the opening round of the 2019 Limerick SHC.

Murroe were victorious on that day two years ago, with Garryspillane going one further 12 months later as they secured senior status late last year winning the Premier Intermediate competition.

Ahead of the game, Murroe’s Seanie Tobin is expecting a very tough battle against the newly promoted side.

“They’ll throw the kitchen sink at us. It will be a very tough game. We know what to expect from them. We’ve played them a lot over the past couple of years, played them in a county final and replay!”

Indeed, in their own return to the senior ranks last summer, Murroe can count themselves very unfortunate not to have gained promotion, missing out on head-to-head having lost to South Liberties in their opening game by a solitary point. This year around, the aim is simple for Tobin and co.

“The main goal is to hopefully get up to the A group for next year. We missed out last year.”
