WATCH: Stander recalls past struggles in Europe ahead of Castres trip

Much has been made about Munster’s inability to get a bonus point against Castres in Thomond Park last Sunday.

Munster dominated the game from start to finish but could only muster three tries from JJ Hanrahan, Rory Scannel and CJ Stander.

Munster still lie in a healthy position atop of pool 2 but will be anxious to come away from France with some point.

Stander, however, isn’t reading too much into the win as he recalls a recent time where Munster were finding wins in Europe much harder to come by.

“I remember a few years ago were struggling to qualify and struggling to get home wins so to get one is great.”

“Look a bonus point is exactly what it is, a bonus point. You get it if you can. Did we have chances to take, yes maybe but it’s a game and that’s how the game works.”
