WATCH: Steven Christopher “I was Looking to Add Goals This Year”

Treaty United earned a 2-1 victory over Wexford FC at the Markets Field on Monday night. Both Enda Curran and Steven Christopher were on target for the Limerick side as they moved up to 4th place in the league table following their recent unbeaten run.

Steven Christopher has enjoyed a good weekend after scoring a rocket to level the game in Athlone and also scoring to gain victory with a last minute penalty against Wexford. He feels his goal contributions are timely.

“I was probably a bit disappointed with my goal contributions last year and it was something I was looking to add more of this year. I feel like I’m getting into better positions now. Once you get one goal, the ball tends to break for you and things open up for you. I’m just delighted that I am contributing to the team winning.”
