Limerick FC manager Tommy Barrett wasn’t overly disappointed with his side’s 1-1 draw with Wexford at the Markets Field on Friday night. It is a draw which keeps the Super Blues in second place in the league.
Wexford took the lead at the beginning of the second half as Emmett Nugent robbed Sean McSweeney of possession before evading the challenges of Robbie Williams and Jack Brady and slotting home.
Limerick responded very well and Darren Murphy smashed the ball past Corey Chambers after being set up by Connor Ellis.
Barrett admitted that his team were disappointed with the result in the dressing room after the game but he did not feel as downbeat as his side are now unbeaten in six games.
