WATCH: Tommy Barrett “We Were Very Lucky”

Treaty United manager Tommy Barrett admitted his side were very lucky to come away with a point against Wexford FC at the Markets Field on Friday night. Sean McSweeney rescued a point for the home side with a goal 6 minutes from time after Kyle Robinson had put Ian Ryan’s side ahead.

Wexford had a couple of big chances to extend the lead and while Barrett commended the spirit in his side and acknowledged McSweeney hitting the crossbar in search of a winner, he felt they were lucky to seal the draw.

“I thought in the first half Wexford should have been a couple of goals up and we were very flat. We were lucky to get a draw although we could have won it in the end but Tadgh has kept us in the game and we were very lucky.”
