WATCH – Tommy O’Donnell on Saturday’s clash with Scarlets at Thomond Park

Munster will only have one chance to test themselves against the Scarlets in the regular season as the two sides were kept apart in this year’s conference split.

Saturday’s game will be a great opportunity for Johann van Graan’s side to size up their Welsh counterparts, keeping in mind that they may meet again down the road in the play-offs.

Tommy O’Donnell says the meeting of the sides this weekend should be interesting.

“It’s a little bit different from other years where you possibly could meet teams three times in a year, sometimes five. Because we’re on separate sides of the conference we don’t really know how either team is truly performing this year so it will be interesting when we come head to head this weekend.”
