WATCH: Two Limerick players named on Sunday Game Team of the Year

Despite winning the League and Munster Championship, there will be some regrets from the 2019 Hurling year for Limerick who were defeated in the semi-finals.

However, two of Limerick’s standout players have been rewarded by being named on the Sunday Game Team of the Year.

Sean Finn, who won a PwC All-Star last summer is named after maintaining his excellence in defence with the Bruff man arguably the best corner-back in the country.

Aaron Gillane is named at top of the left after cementing his status as Limerick’s go-to forward.

The Patrickswell man was the teams leading scorer again, notching 3-50 from his six games at just under ten points a game.

In total, there were six Tipp men named, four from Kilkenny, two from Limerick and Wexford and one from Cork.
