WATCH: Two years on relive Ireland’s historic win over the All Blacks

Irish Rugby has arguably never been in a better position than it is right now. Since Joe Schmidt’s appointment in 2013, Ireland have picked up three Six Nation’s Championships with a Grand Slam in 2018.

With the World Cup taking place in Japan next year, expectations are at an all-time high in the country with an extremely deep squad at Schmidt’s disposal.

After drubbing Italy at the weekend in Soldier’s Field in Chicago, Ireland face Argentina next weekend before facing the All Blacks on November 17 in the Aviva Stadium.

It is two years to the day since Ireland’s famous victory over New Zealand in Soldier’s Field. After 111 years without victory over the All Blacks, tries from Jordi Murphy, CJ Stander, Conor Murray, Simon Zebo and Robbie Henshaw earned the historic 40-29 win.

Two years on and Ireland find themselves second in the World Rankings bearing down on the back to back World Champions ahead of the Aviva showdown.
