WATCH: Van Graan on Munster’s discipline and dealing with referees

Munster take on Ulster tonight as attention returns to the Guinness Pro 14 after successive weekends of Champions Cup action.

For Johann van Graan, the chance to return to domestic action comes at a valuable time as Munster are still reeling from last weekends loss to Castres in a fiery game.

The performance of referee Wayne Barnes has come under scrutiny as he failed to control the home side who too often were guilty of illegal conduct.

In the interveening week, two Castres players have been cited, demonstrating the nature of their play last weekend.

However, van Graan isn’t placing any of the blame of Barnes and insists his side had enough chances to come away from France with a win.

“We have to take accountability for that. We own it as a group. You are going to concede penalties in a game, except for the yellow card. We don’t want to concede a yellow card.”

“You’ve got to adapt on the day and I though in certain instances we did adapt to the referee over the weekend. I will never criticize a referee, we had enough chances to win the game.”
