Johann van Graan brings his Munster side to Castres this Saturday with his side in a very good position in Pool 2 of the Champions Cup.
After a comprehensive win over the French side last week, another win for Munster will go a long way in securing a place in the knockout stages.
Ahead of the game, van Graan spoke about the importance of the breakdown as Castres are sure to have more of the ball at home than they did in Limerick where Munster dominated every facet of the game.
Castres didnt get their opening score in Thomond until the final passage of play and van Graan will be keen to see Munster retain the discipline that served them so well last weekend.
With the likes of Peter O’Mahony and Chris Cloete at his disposal, Munster have some excellent players capable of turnovers and if they get their discipline right Munster could have a lot of joy here.
However, with the nature of a double header, there hasn’t been much time for van Graan to work with the players who will face a completely different experience in France.
“They put pressure on us and kept the ball. It’s important to get the balance of when to poach and when to get width.”
“I think both teams will look at some technical things and see can they outwit opposition. You’ve only five days and two training sessions to do it!”
