Munster boss Johann van Graan won’t be relying on information from new outhalf Joey Carbery to gain any advantage over rivals Leinster this Saturday.
“I don’t believe that’s the way it should go in rugby. To me rugby is all about respect.”
The Auckland born number 10 swapped blue for red this summer in order to secure more game time in the half back line ahead of next year’s World Cup.
Carbery has been a major hit with the Munster faithful in the early stages of the season turning in two man of the match performances.
From the outside looking in it would seem to make sense for van Graan to rack Carbery’s brain for an insight into Leo Cullen’s favoured play calls or tactics however the South African says that doesn’t enter the thinking as he claims rugby is all about respect.
