“We’re looking forward to it but obviously with a bit of trepidation.”-John Kiely geared up for Munster championship opener.
Limerick host Tipperary this Sunday at 2pm in the opening game of the 2018 Munster Hurling Championship. With a change in structure, each team is guaranteed four games in Munster. Limerick boss John Kiely, into his second year at the helm, is not looking past Tipp on Sunday which will be a good indicator of where his young side are at, with all to play for.
“Each game takes on a life of its own. This is the opening game in the Munster championship, we’re on our home turf and we are not going to give up our home winning record too easily.
Tipperary are a formidable outfit, they are a fine team with a good record in the Munster championship in recent years and they obviously have ambitions to go right to the end of this championship series.”
