WATCH: “You’d be half afraid to eat the turkey!”- Byrnes on the upcoming season

Limerick’s season begins in less than a fortnights time with a clash with Tipperary in the Munster Hurling League.

This competition is swiftly followed by the National Hurling League in January.

The Munster Championship commences just a couple of months later with the GAA season more hectic than ever before.

With the frantic nature of the season, Byrnes says the Munster League is a good chance for players to learn about themselves.

“You’d be half afraid to eat the turkey there’s so many games coming thick and fast! Look as I said, the Munster Hurling League, just go out there, enjoy it and learn a bit about yourself. Once the league starts, you’re almost looking at Christmas 2020 because the year does fly.”
