Week 1: Limerick District League Premier Division Round-Up

The Limerick District League Premier Division kicked off on Thursday night with plenty of goals scored and no draws on an entertaining evening. There were five home wins on the opening night and one solitary away victory.

In the clash of the title challengers, Pike Rovers scored a late goal to break Ballynanty hearts at Crosagalla with recent recruit Mikey Conlon scoring after he charged down an attempted clearance in the last five minutes of the game. Both teams were missing key players for the clash with Conlon and John Connery made their debuts for the Hoops while Habideen Gbadebo, Conor Keane, Cian Fitzgerald and Cian Power made their first appearances for Ballynanty. Pike will now travel to Cork to face Charleville on Sunday while Ballynanty will host Mungret Regional in LIT.
